Vialand (Isfanbul) Theme Park - All You Need To Know

Isfanbul Theme Park (formerly Vialand) is a large entertainment complex in Istanbul’s Eyüp District that combines a theme park, shopping centre, exhibition centre and hotel. Opened in 2013, it offers roller coasters, water rides, family attractions and a retail area spread over 600,000 m².

At first, Isfanbul was officially called Vialand. It was later rebranded as Isfanbul, but many tourists and locals still called it Vialand. Construction started in September 2011.

Vialand is Turkey's first modern mega theme park. The theme park features roller coasters, rides, interactive activities and other attractions for visitors of all ages. The complex also includes an exhibition centre, a shopping centre and a luxury hotel.

The complex has turned Istanbul into an entertainment centre for the Middle East and Balkans. Separate areas attract guests of all ages and allow easy access to every form of fun within the park.

On an area of 600,000 m², visitors can experience more than 50 attractions. There are entertaining sections for visitors of all ages, with plenty of attractions for younger visitors. Many cartoon character mascots wander around the park.

The Castle, rising over a 2000 m² area in the park’s entrance, gives a glimpse of the magical world inside.

Scream A Lot On The Breathtaking Roller Coaster

The Nefeskesen (Breathtaking) is a roller coaster designed for thrills and speed. It reaches 68 miles (110 kilometres) per hour in just 3 seconds.

Do Not Miss The Crazy River

Crazy River offers an adventure in 9-person boats. It is one of the most popular parts of the park, often visited by groups of friends and families, so you usually need to wait in a queue for several minutes. You board round boats and travel along a 700-metre river and a cascading waterfall. The boat spins and water splashes inside.

Enjoy The Justice Tower

For excellent views of Vialand from above, an extreme landing and full adrenaline, take your place on the vertical line of the Justice Tower. You go 50 metres up, enjoy the scene briefly, then the brakes release and you drop swiftly.

Try The 360

Dare to open your eyes and look around from 28 metres high while your head is down. Recommended for adrenaline junkies. After the Breathtaking, 360 is one of the park’s most adrenaline-filled units.

Ride The Splash Coaster The Viking

Another water adventure is the Viking. This attraction is more action-packed than the Crazy River. Lengthy queues often form for this unit.

Visit The King Kong Village

Meet the legendary Hollywood character and experience the Kong ride. You are held in the hands of King Kong 15 metres from the ground and tilted from side to side. The views of the surroundings are a bonus. It is one of the most popular attractions in the park and a section where children can have fun too.

Witness The Conquest Of Istanbul In Fatih’s Dream Or Fatih Dark Ride

Fatih’s Dream takes you back to 1453, when Istanbul was conquered by Fatih the Conqueror. It is an educational journey through the Ottoman Empire period with hologram techniques and video mapping. This is one of the park's most popular parts, so you may have to wait to get in.

Enjoy Pleasant Moments In The Safari Tunnel

Do not just observe; become a hero of the Safari Tunnel and change the course of its story. You board waiting vehicles, shoot points with laser guns and receive points along the way. Kids, especially young boys, love it.

Younger children can enjoy the carousel and mini cars, as well as other units suitable for their age, such as the Little Explorers (where children discover cultures of different world nations as they travel through 160-metre-long channels in boats) and the Hero Firemen (where they can play firefighters). There are educational and informative activities for children of elementary or secondary school. Vialand also undertakes many social responsibility projects.

Shop In Style In The Shopping Center

The shopping area is formed of indoor and outdoor streets. It is one of Istanbul's largest retail complexes. There are stores belonging to international brands, restaurants and coffee shops. In the shopping streets, you can travel by tram and visit a cinema, bowling alley and wellness centre. The shopping centre also houses an indoor zoo named Jungle Park.

The complex has a large parking area. To use public transport to Vialand, you can take buses from central points like Şişli, Taksim and Eminönü. Opening hours vary by season; verify the current day's hours directly with the operator before visiting.
