Part of our Philippines guide.
For a day trip in Tagaytay, head to the Taal Volcano viewpoint and the cool-climate parks; for a day in Boracay, focus on White Beach and a water-sport activity; for El Nido, a motorbike ride to Nacpan Beach covers the essentials. These three itineraries pull together specific stops from our Philippines coverage.

What's Best For A Day Trip In Tagaytay
Drive a few hours south from Metro Manila to Tagaytay in Cavite province. The main draw is the view of Taal Volcano from a ridge-top restaurant or the People’s Park in the Sky. Spend the morning at the Sky Ranch amusement park (rides and a Ferris wheel overlooking the lake) or at the Tagaytay Picnic Grove, where you can rent a cottage and try zip-lining. For lunch, order bulalo (beef marrow stew) at a restaurant with a volcano view. In the afternoon, visit the Our Lady of Manaoag shrine or the Mahogany Market for fresh fruits and local snacks. Return to Manila by evening.
What To Do Best For A Day Trip In Boracay
Fly or ferry to Caticlan, then take a boat to Boracay. Start at White Beach’s Station 2: walk the powdery sand, swim, and rent a paddleboard or kayak. For a thrill, book a parasailing or jet-ski session (prices vary by season). Midday, grab a seafood lunch at D’Talipapa market or a beachfront café. In the afternoon, take a tricycle to Puka Shell Beach for quieter waters and shell collecting. If time allows, hike to Mount Luho viewpoint for a 360° island panorama. Catch the sunset from a bar on White Beach before your return boat.
El Nido Motorbike Day Trip Nacpan Beach
Rent a motorbike in El Nido town (Palawan province) and ride north on the coastal road. The 45-minute drive passes limestone karsts and small villages. Your destination is Nacpan Beach: a 4-km stretch of golden sand with a double-curve shoreline. Park near the entrance, then walk the beach or swim in the calm water. For lunch, order grilled fish at one of the thatched-roof eateries. After eating, ride a few minutes farther to Calitang Beach (the “twin beach” view from the hilltop). Return to El Nido town before dark, as the road has no streetlights. Along the way, you can stop at Las Cabanas Beach for a final swim or a sunset drink.
