How To Get From Petra To Wadi Rum
Take a pre-booked private taxi or join a shared minibus from Petra’s visitor centre to Wadi Rum village. The drive covers roughly 100 km (62 miles) and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Public buses do not run directly between the two sites, so most travelers arrange transport through their hotel or a tour operator in Petra. Once at Wadi Rum village, a 4×4 jeep will take you into the protected desert area for your overnight camp or day trip.
How To Get From Yazd To Meybod By Public Transport
Take a shared taxi or a minibus from Yazd’s main bus terminal to Meybod. The distance is about 50 km (31 miles) and the journey takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Buses depart frequently from early morning until early evening; the fare is low and paid directly to the driver. Yazd, known as the city of wind catchers, is a UNESCO-listed city with traditional Persian mud-brick buildings, intricate mosques, and a labyrinth of narrow alleys. Meybod, a smaller town, offers a quieter look at desert life, including the ancient Narin Castle and a historic caravanserai.
